"Oh, well..." Elliot scratched his head, a little confused. "Yeah, sure, let's try that. At the very least, it'd make an awesome weapon." He took a bigger piece from the plant and coiled it around his sword. "Yep! That's a mighty fine Kokiri Thorn Sword! We shall see what the Skull Kids have to say about this," he said with an evil smirk on his face.

Kairu took his sword and cut the rest of the bush off near it's roots and took it to the barricade. "I will be happy to be back home in Castle Town and take a nice long awaited rest. What about the rest of you? Where do you guys live?" He said finding some more wood and branches.

"Oh, just around..." Elliot mumbled distractedly while attempting to weave in all the thorny plants. "I travel a lot so I never thought to buy a house. Ow." He looked down at his finger and saw a small bead of blood appear from his skin. "Dang plant," he silently muttered. He brushed it off and tried to move faster to make the building process finished.

Ryli smiled at Kairu. She was eager to tell her story. "I was originally from the Gerudo Desert, which is pretty easy to tell. I don't agree with stealing and raiding, and my tribe, even my own mother, shunned me. I ran away just yesterday, and I met a Sheikah, who is now training me in their ways so I can protect the Royal Family. Right now, I'm staying at the Traveler's Inn in Kakariko." She hoped any pre-conceived notions he had of her would dissipate after he heard her story. She didn't want him to think she was a bad person. She wrapped the thorns around her sword while she was talking.

Sephira paused for a minute to catch her breath and take stock of her surroundings. She kept humming, listening to all the Skull kids playing along with her. She saw that she was in a clearing, at the center of which stood a pedastol of sorts. Examining it, she saw a pattern of three triangles and a circle with a pattern in it. Having never been to Hyrule Castle, she didn't recognize the Triforce for what it was. Shrugging, Sephira didn't bother thinking on it anymore, and resumed singing. However, since the Skull kids would starting to get bored, she switched to a bouncy song and invited them to dance. Excitedly, some Skull kids danced while the others played. Looking at the sun, Sephira guessed she had bought the others enought time and crept away. When she was out of sight, she hurried back towards the entrance, praying that she had delayed the Skull kids long enough.

Ryli saw the Hylian girl come out of the Lost Woods. "Thank you very much!" She yelled to her. "I'm Ryli, I haven't gotten your name yet!" She wanted people to like her. She tried to be as friendly as possible to everyone she met. 'It would be great to have another girl fighting along side me, there's a LOT of testosterone here,' Ryli thought to herself and laughed quietly.

Kairu wrapped some more of the thorns around his blade and tightly tied it off at the hilt. He saw the girls talking and he approached them. "Were they following you?" He asked in a serious tone. His hair blew in the calm wind, 'Perhaps the wind is a sign of the outcome for awhile.' He thought to himself. He inhaled deeply to take in the moment.

"I don't think they followed me. I left them dancing in a clearing further in there." Sephira looked back at the Gerudo, recognizing the longing to be accepted. She pulled her into a hug, whispering, "Don't try to be too friendly, it might cost you someone dear." Out loud she said, "I am Sephira, last of the Stari. That is my partner Midnight." She pointed to Midnight gnawing on a branch. "The wolf, not the branch." she smiled.

"I'm Kairu. If I'm not mistaken, haven't we met before?" He said now trying to recall why the lady seemed so familiar. For whatever reason, his memory seemed to have been giving out.

"Thank you for your wisdom, Sephira. You are wise beyond your years." Ryli smiled. "You seem like you can be trusted though. After all, you are here trying to save the Kokiri." Ryli thought for a second. "I hope you don't think this is a dumb question, but who are the Stari? Are they a Hylian tribe? I haven't seen much of Hyrule, so please forgive me for not knowing." She was slightly embarrassed for not knowing, and she hoped Sephira wouldn't be offended by her question.

Sephira hated it when she was recognized from some other place. She wanted very much to deny that she had ever seen this man before, but knew that would be fool-hardy if he did remember, as it would indicate that she had something to hide. But she was just as likely to recieve questioning if she did reveal herself. Midnight nudged her leg. "Better to be a known friend than a possible enemy." Sephira nodded, then turned to Kairu. "You were in the Kokiri Shop yesterday, buying your sword." She gestured to the weapon. She then turned to Ryli. "I'm not surprised you don't know them. The Stari are a tribe that used to be Hylian but branched off around the same time as the Sheikah. We follow a similair life-style as them and the Kokiri. We stay hidden and form our closest bonds with animals. However, my tribe was slaughtered a year back. I only survived because I was hunting at the time. And don't worry about offending me, I'm good-tempered. I only dislike it if you pry." She added with a meaningful look.
(By the way, I'm writing a story following that plot-line. I'll post it when I'm done here.)

Ryli blushed. "I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to pry. I was just interested. I'm sorry about what happened to your tribe. I also know what it's like to be alone." She wanted to know more about the Stari, but she didn't want to anger Sephira. She seemed like someone that would be a very valuable ally, and she didn't want to make enemies with her. Ryli chopped more thorn branches and added them to the growing pile.

Sephira nodded, happy that she wouldn't be pestered for information. Threading branched together into the wall as she had been taught, she said, "It's no big deal. I prefer not saying things that everyone can hear. If you'll wait until this is over, I'll answer your questions in private." Cutting a branch into smaller peices, she thread it further into the tangle, then wiped her hands on her leg. "I think that will about do it. If it needs further strengthing, we can leave more branches near here so that the Kokiri can do it later." With that, she walked over to the stream and dove in, still clothed. Midnight followed.

Ryli watched Sephira dive in and resurface. "Excuse me, Sephira, do you think sometime you could teach me how to swim? Being from the desert, I never got the oppurnity. We were going to use the water earlier to fix the Skull Kid problem, but I couldn't swim... I can't help but think that could become a problem later," she said to the Stari. 'And if I can become more comfortable with water, I could learn to control it, like fire,' she added to herself.

Kairu stood by watching the craziness unfold. He took note of the growing group of friends, possibly allies getting a bit closer. He took a moment to recap and he thought back, 'Heh, a week ago, none of us knew each other. We were all in our separate corners of the world. Now, we know what, or who, a Stari is. I've met the first nice Gerudo woman. A kid who can fight and seen a tribe of fairy children.' Noticing Sephira hopping into the water and hearing Ryli ask about swimming, he couldn't help but get a little excited. He then tried shaking that image from his mind and refocus back to the mission at hand.
